Malls are kinda thin, nobody's inside
People won't come out, cause Covid's on the rise
Merchants are in pain with each new deadly strain
Maybe starting earlier will help increase their gain

Scarier than Halloween if you don't pay on time

Or move the calendar around and change the doggone date!

I'm a little weary and my anticipation of gift shopping usually wanes around November because the shopping season for Christmas starts in October. I kind of liked it when you didn't see a tree or decoration until after Thanksgiving. Maybe I'm just old school.
