The Skeleton Dance

by Boogienights

HALLOWEEN Contest Winner
On Halloween night the skeletons
will be holding their annual dance.
It's always quite magnificent there,
bony couples have fun as they prance.

Lighted pumpkins will fill up the halls,
a long table is filled up with treats.
Bony mouths will fast gobble them up,
but it passes through, all that they eat.

The bony band in the corner plays,
the music is quite spooky this night.
Of course it's perfect for Halloween,
in its rhythm the dancers delight.

The long dead dancers are dressed so fine,
in their very best formal attire.
The girls in dresses, the men in suits...
buried in them when they all expired.

Their bleached bare arms and legs loudly clack,
the noise resounds for miles around.
As they jitterbug on the dance floor,
it's a sound that will surely astound.

Strung up lights, orange, purple, black, green,
will around cast an unearthly glow.
Setting an Eerie Halloween mood,
down beneath dancers twist to and fro.

An amazing time is had by all,
until midnight signals the next day.
The skeleton dance now has ended,
and the dancers all go on their way.

Next Halloween we should go creeping,
to this dance, just so we can see 'em.
At the graveyard, that's just down the street,
it's held at the big mausoleum.
