A Poem

Inside-Outside

rains just gather 'pon empty street
puddles are calm, less happy feet
vacant sidewalks, future image
playground fun, children envisage

all doors are locked no key to find
all freedom's lived within our mind
the sun still shines, beauty unseen
fresh breezes blow, caressing a dream

our world is masked for all to cope
as virus now taunts human hope
we climb the walls of our confine
for safety's sake we walk the line

behind these walls, in time we know
our strength inside, outside will flow
