True Friendship

How fortunate if you have one true friend
who’ll stand with you and by you ‘til the end.
This kind of love is very rare,
It can’t be found just anywhere.
It’s Heaven-sent, a sacred dividend.
 
That friend will truly love you as you are,
no matter if you’re near or stray afar.
An angel’s come without the wings
who sees you through whate’er life brings.
Now take the time to thank your lucky star.
