Whispers of words
while I'm lying in my bed
I reach for a pen
to write these thoughts in my head.
I write to inspire
and to draw others to Him
To the one who equipped me
with this gift from within

The Lord is the main reason
I like to write,
for He brought me from darkness
into his marvelous light.
I try sharing His love to others
throughout my days
with this, being one,
of the many creative ways.

This is my first time
being involved in a writing group
So I get a lot of inspiration
by the promptings of this troop.
So whether I am inspired
by what I've read, seen or heard
I spend a lot of time thinking
about each special word.
