twirl in late summer breeze
their last waltz

Sadly, many butterflies live for only two weeks, and only a rare few survive the winter.
The syllable count on this haiku is 4/6/3, and as the contest instructions state syllable counts in haiku can vary as long as they are not over 17 syllables.
