A sonnet about caring

Hanging On 'Till You're Gone

by jaybird1

Would you change anything in your latter days.
perhaps, laugh more often and show less hate;
Things that sweeten life and improve your ways,
as you are awaiting your future fate.

Show dear ones and friends great moments of love,
control temper you may oft times have shown;
Be thankful to the gate keeper above,
for, your lease on life is not yours to own.

Hug your kids, your spouse, show kindness all the way,
you will enrich their lives, remove much stress.
Listen, hear their needs ev'ry passing day
and together you'll be forever blessed.

When the last day arrives and all is done-
You will know you fought life's battles and won.

Love, care and compassion is a very enriching way to live ones life-jaybird
