Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
free verse

Reading

by Bill Schott



Alone in my tomb of tomes

I skim and scan the words pressed onto

antique pages.

Within my reach, a lesson on courage,

which reminds me that we start each day

knowing we're licked before we begin,

but see it through.

The answer to the ultimate question is 42,

because we are of such stuff as dreams are made.
