The implications were naughty.

Unexpected, abrupt, and immediately impactful, the quarantine stifled the plan.

All justifications, contrivances and pretexts suddenly halted.

Unintentional displays of night sweats and daylight shakes were inevitably unavoidable.

Signs of addiction, symptoms of withdrawal.
A novel genesis revealing an antediluvian predicament.

Had her husband Gabe surmised the truth, or misconstrued the manifestations as viral?

Misperception was preferable.
Confession was premature.

Paranoia arrived to the soiree of mental misfit celebrities.

He'd abandoned her.

Stephanie's misconceived assumptions proved innacurate.

The unmistakable notification resonated from her phone.

It was Jonathan! She could breathe.
