80 Word Flash Fiction Contest Winner
“Are you sure you want her, sir?” asked the young woman at the Rescue Shelter.
Harry nodded vigorously and smiled. “How could I not take her home? Look at those eyes. She wants me.”
“The dog's missing a leg and has so many scars.”
“Me, too.” Harry pointed at his prosthetic leg and rolled up a sleeve to show his scars. “And we’re both alone in this world.”
“Take me, too?” The woman's eyes had the same look of love.
