This work has reached the exceptional level
A Rhyming Poem

As Memories Fade

by kahpot

each time I wake I'm born again
what life I had I can't retain
I spend my days in stranger's gaze
within these walls of changing stage

confusion comes and takes my hand
as hopeful eyes help me to stand
their arms held wide remain alone
as if I should embrace unknown

like mirrors stare at vacant glare
those hopeful eyes return despair
as they evade my mem'ries fade
they must find truth in day's parade

as yesterday holds future's thought
of all I was they must abort
