This work has reached the exceptional level
How precious then the view

by RGstar

From a distance we compare...of each other, aware
Perplexed, we deem and judge, at times pretending to care
Canned in colours, we react: hope, like coffee, tea, extract
Own tastes then add, subtract...with indifference, enact

Then there are clouds that bask up high, lazed, billowing free
Effortless, they preside, over land and mighty sea
On a breeze they glide, while, we, in ignorance, collide
Such like silken threads they thrive, as we, in fear, divide

How from clouds we ought but learn, so as to none concern
Peace should one discern, where as yet, we are yet to learn
Caught in mirrors, our masquerades--faint smiles bound to fade
For at our ends, there are no shades, only dues that must be paid

How silent willed then clouds, as souls, refined, pass through
No voices loud, or heard, just wings in a perfect blue
So, like butterflies anew, arise the chosen few
How precious then the view, you and I amongst...we too

Perhaps a day, if ever a, love enshrouds
If then so, I'll wish, with you, a place beyond the clouds
