Ode to Vermont

Oh
Vermont,
swimmin' holes
tug fishing poles
county fairs each fall.

Morning walks, circling hawks
through the mist, loons lonely call.
One cloud wanders past skies of blue,
wooden porch welcoming me and you.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Cool cedar breezes, playfully teases.
