Cyclone Tracy

by Wils

Cyclone Tracy blew in  Christmas Day

Yielding destruction all the way

Crashed down houses in her path

Look out Darwin, feel my wrath

Overnight her power started

Nothing stood when she departed

Eventually went out to sea

Total lives lost; seventy three

Repairs were made to flattened city

Acts of kindness, a nation's pity

Christmas Day like never before

You wonder what Tracy was blowing for
