Pleasing Peacocks

by Boogienights

Six peacocks were at the zoo,
the males with plumage bright.
Females were a drab brown shade,
to me that's just not right.

Happy peacocks were squawking,
who knew they could be so loud?
Saying to all of us, "Look at me!"
Lovely birds, they ought to be proud.

The males fan their feathers,
in such a brilliant display.
The females are attracted,
and to them they make their way.

Little peacocks will result,
I enjoy every newborn bird.
If you don't find them pretty,
then I think that's quite absurd.

Their feathers hold abundant eyes,
that seemingly stare at you.
Just part of a stunning design,
with shades of green and blue.

Peacocks in dreams do foretell,
good luck will soon come your way.
They're certainly my favorites,
I could watch them every day.

Is there a more lovely bird?
I believe the answer is no.
With all of their vibrant colors,
they're the stars in nature's art show!
