God's Beautiful World

by Anne Johnston

God's beauty is all around us for our human eyes to see.
Many things we take for granted, without them, what would life be?

Fluffy white clouds dot the blue sky, filling our hearts with good cheer.
As we gaze into the heavens, we can feel God's presence near.

A brilliant sky at sunset, or a rainbow after rain
Gives us hope for a tomorrow though today was full of pain.

A robin so sweetly singing in the blooming apple tree,
Lifts his voice in praise to our Lord for the beauty he can see.

Red roses -- a gift from someone who loves us for who we are.
The mourning dove's song at twilight as we wait for the ev'ning star.

The sparkle in our children's eyes as they whisper words of love,
And then drift slowly off to sleep trusting in their Lord above.

There's beauty in ev'ry season -- winter, spring, summer, and fall.
God's great paintbrush fills the canvas with wonderful scenes for all.

God's beauty is all around us if we will open our eyes.
There for everyone to see. - splendor that His love supplies.

I wrote this poem to enter in the God in Your Life Club, but wasn't able to enter it from that page, for some reason.

God has given us a beautiful world to enjoy, we can see His Hand in all of nature/

Genesis 1;11-12 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
