I'm just a simple little flower
meant to grow and obligingly please
in scent, beauty and duty all day long
no matter it be sunny, warm or rain
cloudy, stormy, cold or sudden freeze
each season I survive 'tis with reserve
to glow more lovely no matter if solo
or a grand garden of blooms like me

Sometimes, some places earth people
take good care of me in chosen gardens
or grand pots so proudly boasted in glee
gently, caress me and beam happy smile
sometimes I'm just a chance bloom alone
in an empty field or lonely barren lot
either place my simple duty the same
to be what I am, simple pleasure to see
matters not where, not grown to complain

You earth people have so much more
of life and creations benevolent destiny
yet daily, your duties and living graces
are as humble and dutiful as mine
here to be what you are and meant to be
to please, share your gifts and own beauty
make this earth a better place just because
you bloomed, kindly shared life and love
with all you are, and even more yet can be
