Looking in a mirror

It Torments Me

by Lulube

"I don't bloody well care!"
"I just don't care anymore!"

I've seen her like this before
But that's an understatement
"Cause I've witnessed her moods
Time and time again
It pangs in my heart, this broken sorrow
That cannot find her a solution
One to ease the killer, stressful, energy
That runs freely, through the veins

She's extremely disheveled, fatigued
And time isn't recharging her spirit
Nor does the healing touch pass through
The heavy armor, that has started to crumble
There's no one she sees, to lean on
And pride won't allow her to ask

It torments me to feel her giving up
Watching her crawl into a darkened corner
Curled up into a ball, she sobs
I can only run my fingers, gently
Through her hair, hoping to give some comfort
