wicked jealousy

by judester

Jealousy consumed her
from the inside out.

She tore at her hair
swore in despair,
wondered where
when he wasn't there.

Cruel, constant jealousy
like spears with tips of fright.
Wasted tears, all those years
that kept her up at night.

Now serene, she gazes
at the garden in the rain.
Beneath the stone, now hers alone
he'll never leave again.
