drums to beat

Memorial
echoes, drums to beat,
mid day parades
on festive streets.
Restful families 'neath shady trees
in filial reverence they grieve,
as the sound of young
laughter, renews their belief.

Days like this, we'll forever explain
as history fades.
Yes, reminds us again.
