A Sedoka Poem for the club challenge

When storm clouds gather

when storm clouds gather
over crisp arid landscape
hopeful reflections emerge

drought weary farmer
dreams of excited children

playing barefoot in the rain




For this weeks event, write a SEDOKA poem. It's a Japanese unrhymed poem made up of two three-line katauta with the following syllable counts: 5/7/7, 5/7/7. A Sedoka, pair of katauta may address the same subject from differing perspectives. KATAUTA is a Japanese poem that follows a 5/7/7 syllable count and form. ****** You may use the event's picture or find your own
