A blast of frigid air snuck into the bedroom as he slid open the doors, retrieving a can of Budweiser. He chuckled to himself, shaking his head. Leann was clueless.
After years of listening to her complaints, he finally agreed to quit drinking. He lied.
Instead, he carefully hid his case of beer between the lawnmower and the shed just outside the bedroom door where nobody would see it.
While Leann was in the kitchen preparing dinner, he sat lazily on the recliner in their bedroom and cracked open his beer can, taking a refreshing, long drink of his... water.

As a sidenote, my now former husband never mentioned this incident to me. He just found a new hiding place for his beer.
