An Unexpected Letter

Unexpected Mail Contest Winner 


A day of the unforeseen never crossed my mind;

I was at home being lazy, chores way behind.

My daughter was in high school; trying to achieve -

My mind totally on Christ; His word, I believe.



I've often heard the saying; God's always on time -

He will supply your needs when you don't have a dime.

Out of the blue, FedEx was knocking at my door -

A signature - needed; what was I signing for?



A letter for my daughter - from a well-known school;

Tuition paid in full; I was shockingly cool.

I looked towards Heaven and began to give God praise -

His love and grace came through; His blessing did amaze.

True Story - My daughter received full scholarships to College and Med School. We were totally surprised by both. She graduated from Morehouse College School of Medicine.
