Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Our memories are meant to help us.

Look before you Leap!

Life is full of our memories.
Some of them we cherish as great.
Many will come unattended,
 while others are moments we hate.
 
The real task that lies before us,
is one that we may never state.
To some, this may be confusing.
So let me, simply illustrate.
 
Memories are there to teach us.
In fact, they stand guard at the gate.
The values we place on our past,
will greatly determine our fate.
 
Though some may be of disaster,
with consequences that frustrate.
The lessons we learn can help us,
before leaping:   Investigate!

If we are not intentional in our personal growth our memories will be filed in our brain as: Emotion. They should be filed as: Instruction!

I want to send a big shoutout to Dick Lee Shia for his wonderful picture: "Great Leap For Earthlings!"

The four stanzas each contain four lines with eight syllables and the following rhyme scheme:
