This work has reached the exceptional level
We Honor Our Mother

For Life's Trade

a girl was born some time ago
passed on from Mother, love she'd know
then pass it on for us to grow

when love was found at freedom's trade
your life of dreams began to fade
we'll not forget, sacrifice made

working young life to make it yours
then put on hold for other chores
you closed it down for three more doors

to marry love for future life
you left the girl, became a wife
three children born, you weathered strife

our loving life from you we learned
for what you gave our love you earned
Mother of ours, your love's returned

though love has travelled everywhere
well taken with our Mother's care
what you have grown, we long to share

from stories known and stories told
our love for you now set in gold
for a girl, wife, Mother, so bold

"through loving us, the world we hold"
