My First and Last Struggle!

Not one to write a poem fast,
I'll think it through and make time last.
I hope the words present the blast
Of fun and imagery I planned
As I felt keys beneath my hands.

My superpower lies in words
And while I guess that sounds absurd
It's not the dumbest that I've heard.
So I will put my mind to task,
Tho' there's one question I must ask ...

Where is the thought behind this poem?
There's nothing floating in my dome...
It's empty as a brand-new home.
Where is the inspiration sought?
Thought it was here, but it is not!

This is a MODIFIED First and Last. I messed up the rhyme scheme! lol. But I like it, so it stays.
I tried to be profound... I tried to eloquent... I tried to be inspiring and encouraging.
Nope -- none of the above.
But if I made you chuckle, that's good enough for a mid-day Saturday, isn't it.
