A Mothers Love

Always Preserved

Mother deserves her life preserved
for what she gave we'll always crave
her love stayed sound, always around
her heart content on our lives spent
her life preserved, Mother deserves

Mother is here, her mem'ry clear
in presence felt by kindness dealt
her thoughtfulness brought tenderness
her routine day found time to play
her mem'ry clear Mother is here

Mother put last, her life of past
starting anew, as new love grew
her strength of heart set her apart
her future gains, yet still remain
her life of past, mother put last

Mother still loved, her soul above
a life content, now heaven sent
her prayers relayed without delay
her answers came she bore no shame
her soul above, Mother still loved

8 syllable lines
I started this as a roundabout poem for Jan's club challenge
but went askew, this is what resulted
