Once I knew I could train my brain, I was unstoppable!

To train is gain

by Melodie Michelle

You can do anything you set your mind too, if you really want it;-)
Millions of thoughts
come to me
every single day
that aren't mine.
I decided
that I had to,
on purpose,
place those
thoughts that
weren't mine
elsewhere,
on a nice
and positive note!

Determination ...

Sometimes it
was easy to do
yet other times
it was chaotic
and distressing
when I placed them
somewhere else.
They kept
wanting to
show back up
in my head.
Over a period of time
it became a habit,
and those thoughts
that weren't mine
would automatically
go to a positive
thought instead.

Challenging ...

Day after day
Consistency
is the key
to train your brain
and to change
your thought patterns!
Much work
is involved
to change
the process
of your thoughts.
Daily work,
every second
to make sure
the training
is taking root
in your brain.

Perseverance ...

Something you overcame in your past contest entry

I decided to train my brain after I met my now partner almost six years ago. Before I think I was too immature to even come up with the thought of doing such a thing!
I was extremely jealous and this came from years of being treated bad and cheated on by the men I'd chosen to partner with. I had never met a good man that wanted to remain with me until I met my now partner.
I respected him and I cared so much for him that I knew if I were to remain jealous and accusatory toward him, I would lose him. So when the thought came to me about training my brain, I figured sure I can do this!
My now partner helped me when I was feeling threatened, he would reassure me that he was not cheating on me and that he wanted me. He did that every day for around three months and that put together with my determination and perserverance, formed a habit that will put any negative thought on a positive one every time!
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
