Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Fabulous Free Verse Club

When It's Time . . .

When my time comes,
please send me no bouquets.
Fragrant blossoms are for the living,
as is the colorful array,
if array there be.
Instead,
take joy
in
the friendship, love, and support
you have shown
in all my endeavors,
and especially in my sorrows.
Then,
pass it on to another
who will treasure and cherish it
as I do.
These are the bouquets I want
day to day
while I am here to enjoy them.
