Globe trotter

by bournemouth

In Ulan Bator, I search the big mogul
I eat turkey in Istanbul.
I break china in Beijing
I wear a panama on the canal.
In India, I taste Darjeeling,
In Australia, I jump as a marsupial.
In Stockolm, I walk on blue suede shoes,
But the owner, a Scotish, had toes
In bad shape for a dancer,
So I received a jab
In Thai boxing.
I threw him a saucer,
In return he gave me a little dab.
I did not know if he was foxing
And I smile
Thinking at the mile
Between the theater and my car
That I could not reach with an Oscar,
Because of my pain and the scar
That left me as a tartar.
