Love is that familiar smile, eyes that look like mine,
the comfort in kept promises, old memories defined.
Her familiar laughter, when I just need that lift,
sage advice that sets me right, when life foundations shift.

How calm and clear the twilight ~ melodic breezes weave
flying free through olive trees tossing playful leaves.
Blissful in her lofty spot, safe and peacefully
basking in the warmth of love, from her close family.

I bow my head thank the Lord every single day,
for my precious mother, in oh so many ways.

Maybe I don't listen but trust me I do hear,
every word of wisdom, her pride throughout the years.
