Good bloody grief am I weary of this drama. But, I laugh!

All That Markles Is Not Gold

by Reese Turner

For all it’s glitz and Roy’l glamour,
With entry of an American,
The Queen’s house became a clamour -
Meghan’s trouble and not much fun!

It matters not at all to me,
This soap drama starring Markle,
But why must we watch on TV
“Lady Who?”, now dressed in sparkle?

Harry? No taming of this shrew -
Got his own drama, poor laddy,
Claims nothing much to all this ado.
Still wonders, “Who’s my daddy?”

The Queen can barely clutch her purse,
Obviously, she’s quite perplexed!
Philip’s but one step from the hearse,
Both must shudder, “What’s bloody next?”

Our Founding Fathers were so wise;
That we would have no Royalty,
Way back when we kicked out those guys
They’re just cost and drama-to-be.

English friends, eat your “Fish n’ Chips”,
Watch Meghan and Harry all day.
Shout a warm stout for your stiff lips,
But, keep ‘em there, not here, O.K.?

What drama! In a world filled with COVID and terrorists and all kinds of hate and discontent, I find it most amusing that the "news" focuses so much time and attention on this Harry and Meghan story. I hope you readers enjoy my satire of the love fire and the firestorm it has created among our best friends, the British people.
