I Am The Perfect Cat's Meow

by AnnieDawn

I am the perfect cat's meow
I strut and stretch and then I purr
I want means get it for me now
Don't try to ruffle up my fur

I always want my milk real warm
I am the perfect cat's meow
I try to follow feline norm
My human thinks she knows me now

I'm glad I was not born a cow
All big with udders, what a sight
I am the perfect cat's meow
With spit and fire and full of spite

I love to strut before the mirrors
My jacket splendidly endowed
I'm gorgeous, there is no error
I am the perfect cat's meow

Recognized

I am covering two club events. One for the picture and the other for the Quatrain. I wasn't sure that I could do a Quatrain but worked on it backwords and it kind of fell into place.

Hi Everyone. I found this image on the internet and thought it was the cat's meow. Certainly is a dapper, cool cat! Write a poem based on the picture. All members use the same image which will automatically load when you post your poem. I hope you can see it OK. Sometimes the pictures are a little distorted until you post. * Please try to read each others' work.

Quatern
*The Quatern consists of four quatrains (4-line stanzas),
* 8 syllables in each line.
*The first line of stanza 1 is repeated as a refrain line as the second line of stanza 2,
the third line of stanza 3 and the last line of stanza 4.
*There is no set meter or rhyme scheme.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
