Dream A Little Dream

Life is a dream,
it feels like pure fake cream,
we wake up as if our lives is a movie,
it sounds groovy,
I have dreamt that I was a writer
making a novel,
it was my first time in this vision,
but it came true,
Now I am a real writer.

In my dream I was signing books
which I have written,
who could ever think it took
for my dream to come true.
I am living proof of my dream,
it is like my dream team
made it real, but not made up.
It is a dream come true,
like they all say.
Someday, I will be signing novels
for my fans in the future.
It sure made a huge impact in my life.

any style, any length but must include the prompt and discuss a dream that you had that impacted your life in some way


This did happen for real. I have had a dream where I was a horror novelist and then it came true. I am not a novelist yet, but I am a writer, which it came for real. The title is from the song, 'Dream A Little Dream of Me' from the music group, The Mamas and The Papas. I hope you enjoy my poem.
