mom

She
is mom,
with aplomb.
Healthy and wise,
soft steady voice becalms.
Conviction strong within those eyes
My gold medal mom with cheerleader cries.
Warm, thoughtful kindness to everyone that she sees.
Pioneer spirit, her promise, clear skies,
clever, funny ~ curious, wise.
Patiently calm, my mom.
Thoughtful replies.
A heart balm
to calm
me.

Write a diatelle for this poetry contest. A diatelle has a set syllable count and a set rhyme.

Ta da my wonderful mom, she is my inspiration. At 93 years old she is healthy and full of life. She came to visit me in Tanzania and Zanzibar. The best adventure. Can't wait to see her again when things get back to normal.

How blessed am I to have such a perfect mom?
