Scraping is the season's song
Hoping the heavy cloaking clouds open
To free the sun to bring
Much waited for warmth

With sun and warmth
The palette will widen
With grey ice melting to show
The silken blue of the lake
Surrounded by velvet green
Buds of grass and trees
Azure skies will be dotted with
Cottony clouds playing
Tag with the sun

Everything weaving
Into the fabric of Spring
Allowing us to change
Our own wardrobes
And enjoy again Spring's serenades
