I'd give the moon and stars to you,
if given half a chance.
I'd string them up all through the yard,
and under them we'd dance.

I'd give the treasures from the sea
to you if I just could.
The pearls from oysters, lovely shells,
would be yours, like they should.

If gold and silver were your wish,
you'd have them, there's no doubt.
I'd put them on a lovely chain,
that you'd wear all about.

You're like a mystic dream to me,
I touch you and you're real.
That you return the love I give,
will always be a thrill.

But I know when you kiss my lips,
that I am all you need.
The moon and stars stay in the sky,
the pearls beneath the sea.

The gold and silver we don't need,
we sparkle in our love.
The sun up high will be our gold,
our silver, stars above.

Fate looked into my heart and found,
a lonely, empty shell.
Then put me in your path to find,
a place for love to dwell.
