Many Lives

Spirituality starts with the soul,
the part of us that never dies.
We live many lives, they're in God's control,
He watches over us, no surprise.

We learn many lessons along the way,
our souls living time after time.
Until we've learned all that we need to know,
then join God in heaven, sublime.

Reunited with those that we've known before,
souls we have known through the ages.
As they travel on their journey's as well,
fate, in our book, turns the pages.

Along the path, when we help those in need,
that's another lesson that's learned.
For God would have us help our fellow man,
and have them help us in return.

We won't remember all that we go through,
but there's one thing that is certain.
Each life we live brings us closer to God,
every life draws back a curtain.

It's then we can see what's always been there,
what we have been fated to know.
The love that we give, as we live each life,
before God, will make our souls glow.

I do not fear death, it's only a step,
my soul will move on as it may.
Until comes the time when God calls me home,
and then it's with Him I will stay.
