High School 25th Reunion
Befriended
by Raul1
Buddy graduated from high school, but he hasn't gained any friends. He still lives with his parents. As a result, his former classmates refuse to talk to him. He tried to befriend them, they gave him the cold shoulder. This is when he thinks that he's through with those people.
He knew that he wouldn't be invited back to his high school reunion anniversary. He got fed up and kept losing hope of having friends of his own. His parents never gave up on him. They still believe that he can have a social life.
He doesn't even have a job and never enlisted in one for a job interview. Buddy was at home watching TV. The next month a letter came in the mail. He checked it and saw a familiar mail letter.
It was from his high school. What do they want with me? he thought. He knows that he has got a fat chance to be accepted to the school reunion. Buddy came into the home and discussed it with his parents. He told them that it is all a trick.
His parents disagreed. They told him that they want him back as a friend.
"Why me?" he asked.
"It is a start for something brighter in your life," mom said.
"Oh, I'll try to go," he responded.
Buddy drove to his twenty-fifth high school anniversary. He went inside the auditorium, and his friends gave him cheers. He's stunned by friends who gave him a standing ovation.
