Trust me son when I say
Don't be in a hurry to grow up,
being an adult doesn't just mean doing what you want.

The best time of your life is now.
I swear, my brave bear;
going to school will be fun.

You'll make new friends, play sports
and have lots of time to run.

You'll learn about man's history,
Earth's many mysteries

And study Mother Nature's
wondrous creatures one by one.

You can become a scout,
be a cub member at seven
or thereabout.

Do fun camps 'n be a champ,
learn survival skills
and practice water sports that thrill.

Listen to my words;
don't be shy, open your wings
reach for the sky and fly.

Enjoy this time to the fullest
my dearest, my son,
for every happy event done
in later life will become
a treasured moment won.
