An Acrostic Decima for Potlatch Poetry

Patch Quilt

by damommy

Put scraps of cloth sewn in a row
and make a lovely pattern flow.
Take scraps from children’s baby wear,
can use them, make those mem’ries glow.
Have stories ready for each square.

Quite likely, they will ask for more,
unless they think it’s all a bore.
If so, you must stitch for yourself,
Lay it away on closet shelf.
Time comes it’s something they’ll adore.
