The Beauty of Colors (a sonnet)

I question what we'll choose for hues in play
when not a single color stands alone,
through beauty only our eyes might convey
that craft the precious art we call our own.

I see the reds, the blues and turquoise green
that brightly shine amid a poet's gaze.
The awe of what I view is quite pristine
that often warrants gratitude and praise.

But though some eyes are closed, they too shall see
the splendor of what colors might abide.
For beauty holds no snares or boundaries
of what this gracious life will so provide.

For all you have to do is use your eyes
to see what colors this dear life applies.
