Gross

by DragonSkulls

When I looked in the mirror
I was filled with disgust.
What I saw were the smears
and the spatters and dust.

A question arose
that I had to address.
Am I really the slob
that would make such a mess?

I then grabbed my gloves
and the cleaning supplies,
attacking the splatters
and the filth I despise.

The toothpaste, the hair spray,
the splotches of grime,
the hand sanitizer
that dries over time.

The prints on the mirror
where I reach for my meds
and strands of my hair
I apparently shed.

Yes, Windex works wonders.
My mirror was free.
I proudly looked up
then smiled at me.
