This has been a time to self-reflect
There will always be difficult situations in life
But there is no day I would ever call a reject
Though many people want to add to the strife.

There is so very much to complain about
Folks want to discount almost three-hundred days
And I know there are those who go without
But, truly beauty can be found in so many ways.

In the end we all have a choice to make
We can use hardships to excuse our anger
And glean sympathy as we declare we will break
When just as easily we could create a better cliff hanger.

Because...The sun still rises as does the moon
Spring turns to summer and summer to fall
Sometimes with such glory it almost makes me swoon
And...all in all, most people were good and stood tall.

They rose up to help and be the best they could be
They couldn't be together which seemed so bizarre
But they helped one another at home and afar
And brought folks together as true superstars.
