Final Goodbye

Relationship Funeral

by kmoss

Love has died, hold the bouquet,
Once fragile, reduced by decay,
Lacked oxygen to keep us alive,
Into the ground with one last dive,

A closed casket due to an ugly end,
Paying respect, two guests attend,
Relief from the stressful, slow thinning,
A sad day shuts, opens a new beginning,

May we both find serenity as it rests in peace,
Grieving, acceptance that our love deceased,
Final words: greatness reduced by a staleness too strong,
The one car procession leaves, you wonder what went wrong.
