Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
When walking in the shady side of the road.

Sunlight

Early today I took a stroll on the gray road—

last night’s rain in the air and lofty clouds

menaced bad weather.

A couple of wobbly steps later,

a sliver of light lit my way,

 a sublime and warm embrace.

I knew that light was intended for me;

I believe what I feel …

a thousand scientific explanations

will not warm my soul…
