Mixed rhyme
Breaking up
They barely said good morning
And now never said goodnight
Barely did they ever makeup
After having a verbal fight
Gone were the days of "Sorry"
Because each felt he was right
Countless hours of silencev
No 'olive branch' in sight
Brought little more than stress
It was a codependent plight
Too late came some insight
When one passed away
Fifty years had passed by
A lethal course of fight or flight
Illness plagued the other one
both lost to the struggle of 'might'
Don't let this happen to you
