A drunk Koala
Hardly Bearable
by Aussie
Perched in my favorite tree. Drunk as a skunk, that's me. Eucalyptus leaves my favorite drink. I munch all day then I sleep. Awakened by human clamor, photos galore of me.
Tourists break my alcoholic reverie, point and shout at the bear in the tree.
Hardly bearable, deaf old me.

Contest entry: Koala bears are always drunk or asleep. Exactly 50 words. Tourists always want to cuddle a Koala. They forget they are not a toy. This is fiction I have written, but Koala's are our native animals and now an endangered species.
