Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Free Verse

Hope

I see behind the mask a twinkling eye,
a pinhole shining through the shroud of night,
a speck of ancient light, a mystery,
the one bright spark in all my universe,
enticing me beyond my earthbound clay,
into a land of dreams.
I call it hope.

I hit the wrong button. This was meant to be in response to the Free Verse Club challenge: Please compose a FREE VERSE POEM using the topic of LIGHT.
It seems that, as a new member, I was in the dark. Now I have seen the light.
