If my ambitions...

by royowen

If my ambitions clash with truth,
with fame enmeshed and words uncouth.
Would I by then be struck from grace,
and find a cave to hide my face.
Those scribes of faith with wisdom armed.
they copied pearls that ocean's calmed.
How wondrous were those faithful men
who wrote God's truth with quill or pen

How many men who've sold word's sword,
have severed truth's eternal cord.
Avast ye wicked men of sin,
who've sold your souls to evil's kin.
The eyes of God roam round the world,
to find some men of wit and worth.
Who love the truth and long to print,
the wisdom found dipped in faith's ink.

I guess the thing that I admire the most is truth, I believe myself to be honest, but honesty is not truth, I try to temper honesty with discretion. That's why I admire Jesus the most. Because He is the personification of Truth, but yet with love.
John 14:6 "I Am the way, the truth and the life. and no one comes to the except through me."

2 Chronicles 16:9A "For the eyes of the Lord roam to and fro throughout the whole Earth to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless towards Him."
